This spacecraft Yantar-2k is intended to make photographs of the Earth surface, providing high-resolution data and its further delivery to the designated landing area by capsules and a reentry module.
The outline of the spacecraft is a cone frustum with spherical dome in the cone base — at the bottom part of the lander there is a cylindrical panel with lightweight thrusters of the landing control system.
The power circuit of the spacecraft has several compartments. The construction of the hull is made of an aluminum alloy. The external surface of the hull is protected by the multi-layer thermal protection cover. It protects the spacecraft airframe and the onboard sections from high heat flows in dense atmosphere layers.
The payload of the lander is divided into compartments, each havingits own specific, purpose:
The central compartment contains a camera lens. It can be reused in the further spacecraft launches.
The operating device compartment is located at the bottom part of the landing vehicle contains lightweight thrusters of the landing control system.
The ring shaped cone compartment is located around the central section. It fits the landing control system and a spacecraft recovery locator beacon, which helps in search for a descent vehicle, landed at the designated area. This compartment is divided into 3 sections. One of them contains the parachute system and the soft landing engine.
In the Special purpose equipment bay there are equipment rigs responsible not only for the lander`s operational integrity but for the whole satellite`s working efficiency.
For the equipment maintenance before reentry, there is an exploitation mechanical interface of the special purpose equipment bay and two panels on the circular cone compartment.
During the space craft reentry from the earth’s low orbit the landing control system jettisons the hatch of the circular cone`s compartment parachute section. Then come the stretching, breaking, main parachutes and the soft landing gunpowder engine.
The soft landing engine is hitched by the wire between the landing vehicle`s hull and the main parachute.
At the moment of activation at the designated altitude the engine starts to decrease the landing vehicle`s speed to the minimum in order to save the onboard data.
Units and devices Delivered by the landing vehicle can be reused in further Yantar-2k launches.
